Carol S. Wyant - Board Member

As current President of the Chicago based Pathfinder Consulting, which specializes in assisting clients with real estate, design, and land issues, Carol Wyant joins the SPIRE Board of Directors with a long and accomplished history in real estate and business development. Her accomplishments range from building preservation, volunteer and organization group movements, teaching, and helping companies institute and manage change. As well as duties as President of Pathfinder, Wyant is the Executive Director of Form-Based Codes Institute, an all volunteer think tank organizing multi-day Form-Based Coding courses nation-wide.

From 1995-1999 Wyant was Director for Statewide Partnerships for the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Her duties included leading a successful nation-wide program strengthening statewide nonprofit preservation organizations. From 1987 to 1994 Wyant was the Executive Director of Landmarks Preservation Council of Illinois, restoring and preserving many Chicago properties. From 1980 to 1987 Wyant was part of a team from Williams Realty Corp who developed the $350 million Rivercenter mixed use project in Texas, as well as preserved and restored several other historic properties.   An accomplished lecturer and presenter, Wyant has also served on approximately 20 not-for-profit boards and commissions, and garnered numerous honors and distinctions. Ms. Wyant received a BA with Honors in Sociology from Stanford, and an M.A. in Urban Administration from Tulsa University.
