Douglas Abbey
Douglas D. Abbey is a founder of AMB Property Corporation and IHP Capital Partners. Mr. Abbey has more than 30 years of experience in commercial and residential real estate investment and development. He is a graduate of Amherst College and has a Master in City Planning degree from the University of California, Berkeley. He is a Trustee and past Vice Chairman of the Urban Land Institute, a member of the Executive Committee of the Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics at UC Berkeley, past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Golden Gate University and on the real estate committee of the UCSF Foundation. Mr. Abbey is Chair of the Terner Prize for Innovation and Leadership in Affordable Housing and is a member of the Board and Executive Committee of Bridge Housing Corporation, a non-profit affordable housing developer active in Northern and Southern California. He is also on the Board of CrediFamilia, a mortgage company founded to serve low-income homebuyers in Colombia.
Mr. Abbey is a Lecturer in real estate at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
