Mountain West Regional Director - Josh Stech

Josh is Chief Financial Officer and head of Las Vegas operations for Purpose Built Investments (PBI), a real estate private equity firm.  PBI attracts and manages capital from domestic and international clientele and provides complete research & analysis, education, investment and private lending solutions to investors.

Over the past 18 months, Josh launched three distressed asset investment funds for PBI, ranging from two distressed luxury vacation rental funds to a turnkey acquisition, disposition and private lending fund.  All three funds have produced substantial double-digit annual returns.

After graduate school, Josh joined PBI and relocated to San Diego as Investment Manager for west coast operations.  Prior to that, Josh lived in Palo Alto for 4 ½ years and graduated with honors from Stanford in 2008 with his B.A. in Economics and B.A. in Spanish, and in 2009 with his M.A. in Latin American Studies/Political Economy.  Josh wrote his honors thesis on the long-term impact of the sub-prime lending crisis on the Latino community.

Josh interned for the Human Capital division of Mercer Consulting in San Francisco, and also with Panama’s largest shipping company in Colon, Panama.  Josh studied in Santiago, Chile, and is fluent in Spanish and proficient in Portuguese.  Josh now lives in Las Vegas with man’s best friend, Squals.
