Brief Description
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university; and
2. Six (6) years of verifiable experience in commercial and/or industrial real estate property or
asset management which must have included negotiating, drafting, interpreting and
administering commercial leases and other rental agreements, overseeing property
maintenance, providing customer service and resolving problems between tenants and
landlords, managing transit oriented development projects for public and/or private entities,
preparing real estate financial analyses, original reports and correspondence, and dealing
directly with the public.(Note: Experience which is restricted to apartment building or other
residential property management will not qualify.); and
3. Possession of a valid driver license; and
4. Possession of a California Real Estate Broker’s License
Full Description
Under general direction, incumbent plans, develops, implements and manages programs, projects and properties for strategic development of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) Real Estate Section. Essential functions: manages and conducts strategic planning of SFMTA real estate and facilities, develops and implements contracts for the real estate section; prepares and/or supervises the preparation, development and implementation of requests for information/qualifications/proposals (RFI/Q/Ps), manages exclusive negotiating agreements and development agreements, leases, licenses, easements, MOUs, contracts, sales and acquisitions; manages the scope, schedule, and budget for contracts, consultants, and contractors; collaborates, negotiates, and builds consensus with individuals with differing ideas; interacts with representatives of public and private agencies, legislative bodies, community activists, business and residential owners on politically sensitive issues; conducts, analyzes and reviews and/or manages market and feasibility studies related to retail, commercial and industrial properties; manages the acquisition of properties and relocation of owners and tenants in compliance with federal, state and local laws, regulations, and circulars, including 49CFR Part 24 & FTA Circular 5010.IC; represents the SFMTA before citizen advisory boards, neighborhood groups, external stakeholders, various boards, committees and working groups; develops and implements policies and procedures consistent with federal, state and local regulations and monitors compliance. May be required to perform other related duties.
Nature of the workrequires working in adverse weather and working conditions, working in confined spaces and hazardous traffic conditions. Incumbents may be required to work day, swing and graveyard shifts, holidays and weekends.
