Ron D. Sturzenegger
Ron Sturzenegger is a managing director and global head of Real Estate, Gaming & Lodging Corporate & Investment Banking for Bank of America of Merrill Lynch, based in San Francisco. Sturzenegger has served as head of the Real Estate and Lodging groups at Bank of America since 2001, focusing on corporate and investment banking, REITs, lodging and leisure, and homebuilding sectors. He joined Bank of America in July 1998 as a managing director and head of Real Estate and Lodging M&A. Prior to joining Bank of America, Sturzenegger was a principal at Morgan Stanley, where he was responsible for Western Region Real Estate Investment Banking from 1995 to 1998. From 1991 to 1995, he headed the European Real Estate Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley. Earlier in his career, Sturzenegger was a research associate at Bain & Company. Sturzenegerr holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School. He is a member of The Real Estate Roundtable and a council member of the Urban Land Institute. He also serves ont he board of governors for the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts and on the policy advisory board for the Fisher Center for Real Estate & Urban Economics.
