SPIRE’s next gathering in San Francisco on Thursday, August 14th will include a presentation (4:00pm) on McCarthy Cook’s 900,000 sf China Basin campus and a tour of the Dropbox headquarters space and other tenants. Mike Freeman, Executive Vice President, of McCarthy Cook will address the past, present, and future of China Basin. This is a dynamic area across the street from the Giant’s ballpark that has seen a tremendous transformation over the last two decades.
Join SPIRE members on Tuesday, September 16th for an Architectural River Cruise. Members will have the opportunity to hear about the historical significance of the many buildings that line the Chicago River as we enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on the upper deck of Chicago’s First Lady. Registration will open in mid-August.
SPIRE will host a Small Group Dinner with David Hamamoto (BS ’91), Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of NorthStar Realty Finance, on the evening of Thursday, September 18th. David is the Chairman of the Board of NorthStar and has served as Chief Executive Officer and President of the Company since 2004. Small Group Dinners afford SPIRE members the opportunity to connect with one another over a private dining experience and hear from a Stanford industry leader. Registration will open in early August.
On Monday, September 29th at 6:00 PM SPIRE will host a tour of Canyon Capital Realty Advisors LLC's new development, One Santa Fe, in the Arts District of Los Angeles. Bill McGregor, the developer, Michael Maltzan, the architect, and Joseph Miller, the retail consultant, and SPIRE member Charlie Rose (‘03), will be speaking about this great new property. We will also hear from SPIRE Regional Leader Jonathan Lischke (‘97) of GPI Companies, about his redevelopment of the Coca Cola Bottling Plant located nearby. Registration will open in late August.
Sponsorship of the Stanford Real Estate Hall of Fame entitles the sponsor to event and tribute program recognition in addition to VIP seating and amenities. Sponsorship and advertising funds are applied to the Induction Banquet in Southern California to be held October 29th. If you would like to attend the event in Northern California on November 14th seats will be made available based on your sponsorship allocation. The Stanford Real Estate Hall of Fame commemorative program will be distributed at both the Induction Banquet and the Honors Banquet.
