It's no surprise that the real estate industry is ripe for disruption. There has been a surge of investment in technology focused on bringing it into the 21st century. In 2017 alone, venture capital firms invested nearly $13 billion in real estate technology and have shown no signs of slowing down.

NY Regional Leader Angel Olvera ('16) orchestrated a panel discussion with founders who are leading some of the most innovative real estate tech startups in the industry.

Moderator Zach Aarons, Co-Founder of MetaProp NYC, one of the leading real estate tech accelerators, led our curated panel in a discussion about the current real estate tech landscape, what’s trending and which segments of the industry are still ripe for innovation. Zach kept the conversation informative and entertaining as he engaged the speakers and the audience in a lively discussion.

Panelists shared their personal stories about how they found their niche, which industry problems and challenges they're solving and some of the bumps and successes they've had along the way. They also discussed some of the opportunities and advantages of partnering with a tech startup and talked about some of the PropTech companies they admired.

Preceding the event, speakers and attendees enjoyed a networking reception and breathtaking views from the Leonardo Center on the 48th floor of 10 Hudson Yards.
