Stanford students and SPIRE members gathered at NOLA in Palo alto to kick off the SPIRE Winter Mentor Program.
The SPIRE mentor program provides Stanford students an opportunity to connect with Stanford alumni in the real estate industry, providing a platform for a transfer of ideas, career planning, and industry insight.
SPIRE matches mentors and mentees, taking into account interests, background, and experience. Mentors and mentees are expected to commit approximately two hours per month at informal meet-ups, phone calls, or email dialogue.
Executive Director Elizabeth Lambird Youngblood ('91) led the group in some fun ice-breaker exercises while they noshed on sliders, tacos and Mama's Mac N Cheese. APSIRE Co-President Ryan Chan (MBA '20, JD '20) addressed the group as did several SPIRE members who were in attendance, including Curtis Feeny, Managing Director, Silicon Valley Data Capital; Jeff Birdwell ('82, MS '93), President, Commercial Development, Sares Regis and Bill Valentine ('85), Founder/President, Vale Capital Inc.
If you'd like to learn more about SPIRE's mentor program, please email Elizabeth Lambird Youngblood or call (650) 785-2908 x101.
